By Mr. Smith
Please allow me to introduce myself. I am a man of wealth and means. Not the only one here in Sedona but one with opinions and a penchant for sharing them.
I make my fortune through heavy investments in the defense, oil and medical industries with smaller investments in private jails, silver and gold. I grew up in New York City and see the world differently than most people.
When I hear complaints about the cost of the wars de jour, I am grateful because my margins go up as orders increase for defense materials.
When a new disease strikes, I am grateful because the companies I invest in will make billions from it.
Domestic mass shootings increase the profits I make from my investment in the gun and ammunition industries as people flock to buy them. Though I feel for the victims, this is the way of the world.
Marijuana arrests are the staple for keeping my private jails investments kickin’, even though I will very soon need to diversify.
I go to church and believe in family and I am a Conservative.
To put it succinctly, I am a member of the One Percent with a very different perspective on issues 99 Percenters might find troubling.
As this is my first posting for Sedona.biz there are a number of issues I would like to comment on:
Allright. Goodnight!
You can bet the big boys know exactly what happened to that missing flight. It’s just they don’t want to admit how invasive their spy capabilities are. Let’s not be surprised if it is never found. Keep in mind all the active volcanoes in the search area. What’s scary is someone out there could possess new technology that can commandeer aircraft from a distance and BBQ them at will.
The New Community Plan
So what if only a few thousand people voted for it. These are the people who care. Sedona should be grateful for them.
Republican Death Dive
The Marijuana Revolution will sweep the Party into the past unless they hop on the bandwagon. Republicans and Conservatives should unite and pre-empt the Democrats by introducing a bill in Congress to lower pot’s classification as a hard drug. Those of us making money from private jails should divert our investments into drug treatment facilities as well and of course, growing pot.
Rootn’ for Putin
Let’s stop whining. Putin got a tiny piece of the Ukraine they occupied anyway and we got the rest of the country. We won and we are bitching we didn’t get the whole enchilada. It is interesting though how through the democratic electoral process communism is embraced.
Smart Meters
Who cares about the radiation anyway? We live immersed in frequencies. I just don’t want it because of the passive surveillance capabilities of the gizmo. I don’t feel bad for the manufacturer of the smart meters that most likely has already been paid with our tax dollars. APS will skim their losses from the public through fines, etc. Well worth it. It’s also nice to see the City Attorney showing some spine in this issue.
Music Ordinance
One of the nice things about living in Sedona is the music of the town. The City needs to show some testicular fortitude and make sure the musical arts are supported. I like the Blues. I like rock. I like live music. It’s one of the few things those of substance can enjoy incognito in this town.
News
While Sedona.biz serves its purpose, it’s sad we only have one pulp newspaper in this town. The paper has grown fat, tired, irrelevant, repetitive and boring without competition. We need a newspaper in town owned by another entity other than the status quo.
That’s it for now. Please feel free to comment. I am very thick skinned.

Music:
“It’s one of the few things those of substance can enjoy incognito in this town.”
Don’t be so incognito, you may enlighten or motivate a few of us in the 99% with your self assurance.
I take it you are single. Do you date the 99% or save yourself for those other people of substance that go out to listen to music incognito? How do you recognize each other? Materially? Or can you smell the substance?
You ask how we know each other? Look at the shoes. We may dress down but we never scrimp on shoes.
Our hands also give us away. Our fingers are not as thick. Few calluses.
We also give extremely cheap tips.
We are also better looking (good breeding) than most 99 Percenters. Our bodies are more proportional.
We can’t resist wearing expensive watches. If you see someone in jeans and a tee-shirt wearing an expensive watch; well-groomed and manicured and sporting expensive shoes trying to blend in with commoners, it’s probably one of us.
Am I married? No. Would we date 99 Percenters? Yes. But never marry below class.
Look at the corners of our mouths. We laugh but never smile.
Mr Smith:
You share your thoughts knowing only a very small amount of people will relate. You probably know most of your ‘class’ since you are such a small percentage of the collective.
You are a good writer but it feels cold, detached and sad. We can help.
I feel you may be longing for some of the things that your many dollars can never buy.
I can tell you a large percentage of the 99% would embrace you without judgement. Most of us realize that no one in life gets everything so the things that are you lacking, we have in abundance.
I think you probably realize this. There are amazing gifts for you to receive when you are able to care, to give.
For example, being a cheap tipper. To give extra, knowing that person will be able to turn around and make something happen for their family or someone else in need. All because of your ability to give. You miss that being a cheap tipper.
We are here for you Mr. Smith. We are happy to share our abundance with you. Let that into your life. Be happy.
Have a great day.
Gosharooney!
Why do I have the feeling Mr Smith isn’t who he claims to be, and that letter is pure bs?
Gosharooney!, I think you are right. He is listed as a featured writer with no other articles or credentials. What is this, Sedona Biz?
