    Walnut Canyon Special Study – Draft Report and Public Open House

    The US Forest Service, National Park Service, Coconino County, and City of Flagstaff Announce the availability of the Draft Walnut Canyon Special Study and Public Open House

    Flagstaff AZ (May 10, 2013) -The U.S. Forest Service (USFS), National Park Service (NPS), Coconino County, and City of Flagstaff are pleased to announce the availability of the Draft Walnut Canyon Special Study. The document is available on the project website (http://www.walnutcanyonstudy.org). The website also allows for public comments to be entered. Comments will be accepted through July 10, 2013.

    Following closure of the comment period, a summary of the comments and the final Walnut Canyon Special Study will be prepared. These documents will be posted to the Walnut Canyon Special Study website and available through to partner agencies.

    Sedona Gift Shop

    The partner agencies are hosting an Open House event to discuss the draft special study, provide opportunities to discuss and answer questions regarding the draft special study, and receive comments. The event will be at the following date and location:

    June 13, 2013 City Hall Council Chambers, 211 West Aspen Avenue, Flagstaff, AZ from 5:30 PM – 8:00 PM
