Sedona News – Internationally acclaimed performers The Limeliters are making a Sedona stop on their national tour and will present a very special live concert on Sunday, Jan. 12 at 7:00 p.m. at the Mary D. Fisher Theatre, presented by the Sedona International Film Festival.

The Limeliters launched their career in 1959 at San Francisco’s famous “Hungry i” nightclub and emerged as one of the dominant voices of the early 60’s folk music scene. They’ve been delighting audiences worldwide ever since, with their soaring vocal blend, eclectic repertoire and rousing live shows.

Time Magazine summed up their appeal with the following memorable quote: “If the button down scrubbed looking Kingston Trio are the undergraduates of big-time folk singing, The Limeliters are the faculty.”

Over the course of seven decades, The Limeliters have never deviated from the iconic sound that they pioneered. Combining beloved, timeless folk songs with new tunes, arranged in the classic style, current members Andy Corwin, Daniel Boling and Steve Brooks — all three of whom are award winning songwriters in their own right — remain as exciting an act as the genre has produced.

Now more than ever, the surging vocals, thrilling harmony, and screwball sense of humor of this unique trio continue to earn them their title as “The ‘Fabulous’ Limeliters”.

The Limeliters take the stage at the Mary D. Fisher Theatre on Sunday, Jan. 12 at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $30 in advance; $35 at the door. All tickets include a meet-and-greet with the band in the lobby after the show.

For tickets and more information, please call 928-282-1177. Both the theatre and film festival office are located at 2030 W. Hwy. 89A, in West Sedona.  For more information, visit: www.SedonaFilmFestival.org.
