Verde Valley News – The Regional Economic Development Center (REDC) at Yavapai College is pleased to announce the acquisition of a public license for GrantStation, a comprehensive database for grant opportunities. This free resource is now available to both the YC community and the public, providing a robust tool for researching potential funders and gaining key insights into successful proposal submissions.
Eric Stoff, Grant and Proposal Writer for the REDC, saw the benefit GrantStation could have for Yavapai County community members.
“I use GrantStation frequently, and it has great potential for community members who are seeking grants,” Stoff said, adding that GrantStation’s library licenses allow public institutions like YC to offer the resource widely.
To access GrantStation, users should:
- Be present on a Yavapai College campus
- Connect to YC’s Rough Air Wi-Fi Network
- Visit //grantstation.com/library-
login - Verify that “Welcome Yavapai College” in the top right corner of the page
- Select “Find Grantmakers,” and search thousands of funding opportunities that are right for you
“Hopefully, our community sees the value and comes to campus to research potential funders for their passion projects,” Stoff said.
GrantStation’s database is easy to use and includes a vast array of funders with varying geographical and programmatic focuses. The platform is mostly applicable to non-profit organizations, particularly those with 501(c)(3) status, but it also includes some opportunities for businesses and individuals. GrantStation also has educational guides available to help organizations build their grants strategy and write their proposals.
“Serving Yavapai County community members with their grant seeking efforts is part of the REDC’s mission,” Stoff said. “Making GrantStation broadly accessible is a great way for us to serve a lot of people in that way.”
GrantStation can be accessed by users connected to YC’s public Wi-Fi network by visiting //grantstation.com/library-
