Arizona News – (June 7, 2024) – UPDATE – The Arizona Department of Emergency and Military Affairs, Northern Arizona Type 3 Incident Management Team (IMT), and local agencies continue to respond to the Bravo Fire that began late evening June 5th, on Camp Navajo, located west of Flagstaff.
The fire is reported to be approximately 1,400 acres. Details on the origin of the fire are still under investigation.
The IMT remains the incident command authority. Resources assigned to the incident have carried over from yesterday with air assets resuming operations in an effort for full fire suppression.
Camp Navajo remains closed to all non-essential personnel. The RV Park and all other Moral, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) will remain closed until further notice.
There continues to be no immediate threats to assets, personnel, or critical infrastructure.
A heavy smoke impact will remain in the area during firefighting. Residents should expect smoke to settle and dissipate slowly over the next few days.
A temporary flight restriction is in place over the fire permitter. Pilots and drone operations are asked to abide by the TFR for safety. If TFR incursions occur, firefighting air support operations will cease until airspace is clear.

(June 6, 2024) – UPDATE – The Arizona Department of Emergency and Military Affairs and local resources are responding to a fire that began late last night, June 5th, on Camp Navajo, located west of Flagstaff.
The fire is reported to be approximately 1,000 acres. The fire is being approached with a full suppression strategy. Details on the origin of the fire are still under investigation.
The Northern Arizona Type 3 Incident Management Team is the incident command authority. Coordination with internal Arizona National Guard resources and local agencies is ongoing.
Equipment and manning consist of approximately 150 fire fighters, 8 air tankers, an air attack air asset, lead plane, 4 helicopters, as well as multiple engines, 2 Hotshot crews and 2 Hand crews.
Camp Navajo is closed to all non-essential persons and employees. Removal of nonessential military units and RV residents have continued out of abundance of cation. Currently, there are no immediate threats to assets, personnel or critical infrastructure.
There are no anticipated closures. A heavy smoke impact will remain in the area during fire fighting.

(June 6, 2024) – Resources are responding to a 100-acre wildfire on Camp Navajo located 9 miles west of Flagstaff.
The Bravo Fire was reported at 11 a.m. today and resources responding to the incident include the Arizona National Guard, one Hotshot crew, two hand crews and one engine.
The fire is under investigation.
