Arizona News – Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona (AZ Blue) is inviting Arizonans to nominate an Arizona nurse for its Nurses Who Inspire contest to celebrate nurses who go above and beyond for Arizonans every day.

Individuals can submit nominations from April 1 to April 15, 2024.

As a gesture of gratitude, AZ Blue will award 5 nurses with:

    • $1,000 cash
    • $420 in perks including a SpaFinder gift card and two suite tickets to the Diamondbacks Game on July 28
    • The opportunity to donate $5,000 to a local non-profit of their choice

“Nurses are at the heart of healthcare, providing compassionate care, advocating for patients, and ensuring the delivery of quality healthcare services,” said Dr. Cara Christ, Chief Medical Officer at AZ Blue. “On behalf of the team at AZ Blue, we thank each and every nurse for showing up and making a difference in the lives of Arizonans.”

Nominees must be a Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, or Licensed Practical Nurse to be eligible. Winners will be notified on May 1 and announced publicly during National Nurses Week (May 6-12).
