All you need, all you want including the most supportive healthy living programs for all ages.

logo_ymca2Sedona AZ (January 15, 2013) – “We do expect a lot of resolutions coming in, people wanting to make that positive change that will stick,” said Sedona YMCA coordinator Jim Allen.

Mr. Allen said the number one challenge most people face achieving goals is dedicating time and energy to meet them, so deciding on small goals and finding the right classes and programs that give you energy is a good way to start. A very common reason people ditch their resolutions and goals by March is money. However the Y is providing ongoing classes, workshops and special events at a fraction of the cost one may expect to pay for motivating instruction and programming.

We often know what we want, or at least have some idea of the health and happiness goals we want to pursue, enjoy and complete. Simultaneously, we often run into obstacles.

“Three obstacles I most often see standing between people and the achievement of their goals or resolutions” Jim Allen said “are:

    1. Lack of confidence
    2. Lack of organization
    3. Lack of support

“For nearly 160 years, the Y has been helping people reach their goals. In support of being where you want to be at this time next year, we are offering exceptional programs with inspiring instructors to help you no matter what age or level of health, fitness and prosperity you are at.”

The New Year is a time for new beginnings and to set goals that strengthen one’s spirit, mind and body. When making New Year’s Resolutions, the Y reminds families that building and maintaining family connectedness is one of the most important resolutions. The Y is offering ongoing classes, programs and workshops to support parents and kids on every level and believes that everyone should have the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive. Stop in and get to know the Y, they would love to get to know you!
