Festival partners with The Wilde Resort & Spa for “Wilde Wednesdays” outdoor films
The Sedona International Film Festival is partnering with The Wilde Resort in West Sedona to present its “Movies on the Move” outdoor film experience — “Wilde Wednesdays” Cinema Under the Stars — every Wednesday in the summer season!
Join us on Wednesday, July 30 as we present “Moulin Rouge!” in The Grove Fire Pit Garden at The Wilde Resort and Spa.
“Moulin Rouge!” was nominated for eight Academy Awards, including Best Picture, winning two Oscars for Best Costume Design and Best Art Direction-Set Decoration. It boasts an award-winning, all-star ensemble cast, including Nicole Kidman, Ewan McGregor, John Leguizamo and Jim Broadbent.
A poor Bohemian poet in 1890s Paris falls for a beautiful courtesan and nightclub star coveted by a jealous duke in “Moulin Rouge”. A celebration of love and creative inspiration takes place in the infamous, gaudy and glamorous Parisian nightclub, at the cusp of the 20th century. A young poet (Ewan McGregor), who is plunged into the heady world of Moulin Rouge, begins a passionate affair with the club’s most notorious and beautiful star (Nicole Kidman).
Bring your lawn chair or blanket and relax in front of a massive outdoor movie screen. Enjoy food and beverage offerings from The Wilde Resort and fun movie concessions.
The Wilde Resort and Spa is also offering local “Stay-cation” getaway packages with special $199 nightly rate for a Grove room (arriving Wednesday), including a complimentary bottle of wine (red or white), waived resort fees, and late check-out at noon. Mention booking code “D-WWED” when making the reservation.
“Moulin Rouge!” will be shown outdoors at The Wilde Resort and Spa (2250 W. State Route 89A in West Sedona) on Wednesday, July 30 at dusk. Seating will begin at 7 p.m. Bring your lawn chairs. Parking is free and available at The Wilde Resort and Spa.
