Emmy-winning, world renowned composer and pianist will give concert performance in special evening Dinner Club event, hosted by Lisa Dahl
Sedona AZ (January 14, 2015) – Dahl & DiLuca Ristorante Italiano will be transformed to a dinner club for “An Evening with Earl Rose” — featuring a concert by the Emmy-winning, world-renowned composer and pianist — on Friday, Jan. 23. This special dinner and concert event is a benefit for the Sedona International Film Festival as it heads into its 21st anniversary season. The evening will include am hors de ‘oeuvres and wine reception, a sumptuous three-course dinner, and the concert by world-class entertainer Earl Rose. Chef and owner Lisa Dahl has promised an evening of delectable delights in an intimate dinner club atmosphere.
A resident concert pianist at the Carlyle Hotel in New York City, composer and pianist Earl Rose is an Emmy Award winner and has received 14 Emmy nominations as well as three ASCAP Awards for being among the top five most performed composers in television. Classically trained, Earl graduated from the Mannes College of Music in New York, majoring in piano and studying with Edith Oppens and Frances Dillon. He also studied abroad at the Vienna Academy of Music and Conducting at the Juilliard School under Emanuel Balaban.
In addition to his scores, Earl’s songs have crossed over into major pop recording hits. These include the multi-platinum selling recordings Every Beat of My Heart, co-written and recorded by Brian McKnight and Love Is A Gift, recorded by Olivia Newton-John and co-written with her and Victoria Shaw.
Among Earl’s recent credits are his appearance performing an original composition in New Year’s Eve, directed by Garry Marshall, and having his music featured in such television shows as Pan Am, Bored To Death and this season’s Carson on TCM.
As a songwriter and record producer, some of Earl credits include the Emmy-nominated song I Found Love, co-written and recorded by Peabo Bryson, and All For The Sake Of Love, co-written and recorded by country singer Victoria Shaw. Legendary singer Johnny Mathis has recorded two of Earl’s songs, Every Beat Of My Heart and Right From The Heart. Other recording studio collaborations include co-writing and/or arranging for such contemporary hit recording artists as Audra McDonald, Madeleine Peyroux ,the late Phoebe Snow, Kenny Lattimore, Montell Jordan, Gordon Chambers and opera singer Daniel Rodriquez.
Earl, as pianist and conductor, appears in concert throughout the world.
The event will begin with a reception at 6:00 p.m. Tickets include hors de ‘oeuvres and two premium glasses of wine, a three-course dinner and the concert by Earl Rose. Dinner entrée options include: Prime Filet Medallion with Four-Cheese Ravioli, Grilled Salmon with Lemon Cello Reduction and Decadent Veggie Nirvana Lasagna.
