Lane restrictions continue through mid-June
Sedona AZ (May 31, 2012) – The Arizona Department of Transportation is continuing construction to install roadway lighting in Sedona on State Route 89A from Dry Creek Road to Airport Road. Crews are completing the installation of underground electric lines, which requires lane restrictions along SR 89A. The lane restrictions will be in place for the next two weeks from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
The $4.3 million project also includes a new traffic signal at Andante Drive, roadway repaving from Arroyo Piñon Drive to just west of State Route 179, and sidewalk curb ramp improvements. The sidewalk improvements will ensure that the sidewalk ramps at the major intersections along SR 89A are in compliance with the standards of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Motorists are advised to pay close attention to signage and observe posted speed limits which will be reduced in the work zones.
