Sedona News – The Sedona Women are pleased to announce geologist and author Wayne Ranney will speak on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at the Sedona Public Library, where TSW programs are scheduled monthly every second Thursday morning from September through May from 9:30 a.m. to noon.
Wayne Ranney has authored numerous books on the geology of Sedona and the Southwest and is one of Arizona’s most respected lecturers. Ranney will review a variety of topics, including the development of Sedona’s landscape and how it relates to the Grand Canyon. Having just returned from Antarctica, he will offer a view of the White Continent and its wildlife and scenery. After decades of guiding travelers on expeditions around the world, he may also speak about Machu Picchu, Easter Island, the Galapagos and other destinations. Having also recently completed a private jet trip around the world, Wayne will transport the audience from the deep geologic past to the present day. Join us as we explore the world of landscapes with Wayne Ranney.
This May 9th program is open to the public at the Sedona Public Library, 3250 White Bear Road in West Sedona. A meet-and-greet will begin at 9:30 a.m., followed by a short meeting and presentation.
