… the age old fight or flight choice, do you really want to step in and take a dispute to a final conclusion … or is best to just get out of Dodge and live to confront the issue another day? While neither of those choices actually happened in the photos tonight it is obvious that it could have played out that way.

Above we have a photo of a Ringed-bill Gull coming in for a pass to get some food … I provided that, but it could just as easily been a small fish that he was intent on collecting for a meal … that bill has a purpose and it isn’t for making nice!

Below is a small flock of Common Mergansers clearing the area as they perceived that we were a threat to them … when that is your take on a situation, a rapid departure from the area is called for! Maybe the lone male among all those females just didn’t want any competition?

Another new day and week underway … actually just further down the continuum of time and certainly nice to still be riding it and enjoying the journey! Choose to have a terrific day and you will have one … even if you are a KC Chiefs fan 🙂

    Cheers,

    Ted

Love men and truth, and poverty most like
Will dine with you, but peace will feed your soul.
Let selfishness guide all your thoughts and acts,
And in old age your storehouse may be full
Of grain and goods; for truth and love of men
Will garner only peace and inward joy.
Some fathers would speak otherwise to sons
Held dear; and yet I’ve ke[t my faith and shown
To you my boy, the only world I know.
Remember this: whichever course you choose,
You’ll sometimes turn about and walk awhile
The other way, for none of human kind
Is all of good or all of evil made.

It Takes a Lifetime and Sometimes Even More

    By Amaya  Gayle

Sedona, AZ — It takes a lifetime (perhaps lifetimes) of stretching and expanding, ripping and tearing, just to move through one’s predispositions, to meet one’s inbred resistance and evolve to the grace of simple tolerance. During this precious part of the journey, it feels like you are taking the steps, are choosing right, left or straight ahead, that you are in the game.
