Sedona AZ (Febrary 27, 2015) – On January 30, 2015, the Sedona City Council narrowed the field of applicants for City Manager to seven candidates. These seven finalists will participate in a series of on-site interviews and events beginning Wednesday, March 4 and ending Friday, March 6, 2015. The process includes a City staff morning reception, a City Hall tour, City Council panel interviews, Department Head panel interviews, and a public evening reception to meet with community members.
During the mornings of Wednesday, March 4th and March 5th, the candidates will meet and speak with City staff. Following this, the finalists will be interviewed by two separate panels throughout the day. The interview panels will be comprised of City staff and City Council members. Panelists will then provide input to the City Council on Thursday afternoon.
On Wednesday, March 4 from 5:00 p.m.to 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers, the candidates will be available for a reception that is open to the public. This will be an opportunity for citizens to meet the candidates in an informal setting and provide private, written comments to the City Council.
On Thursday, March 5, after the two panel interviews, the City Council and the Department Head panel will meet in closed session. This meeting will allow for both panels to discuss staff and citizens comments and conclude the on-site process.
The public is welcome to review the candidates’ resumes, applications and other supporting materials prior to the interview process. Please contact Human Resources at 928-203-5189 for more information.
