Public can learn more about four projects scheduled to occur between Sedona and Flagstaff
Sedona AZ (July 10, 2018) – The Arizona Department of Transportation reminds the public to attend an informational meeting this Thursday about its plans to make safety, roadway and bridge improvements along 12 miles of SR 89A between Sedona and Flagstaff.
The meeting is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 12, at the Sedona Public Library, 3250 White Bear Road, Sedona, Arizona. A formal presentation is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
ADOT is planning four projects along SR 89A between Sedona and Flagstaff. The projects will require traffic restrictions and are being coordinated to minimize impacts on those who live, work and drive in the popular area.
The four projects include the rehabilitation of the Pumphouse Wash bridge; rehabilitation of the roadway pavement from the Sedona city limits to Bear Howard Drive; the mitigation of potential rock falls onto SR 89A at mileposts 375 and 389; and the installation of erosion control infrastructure in Oak Creek. Currently, work on the four projects is scheduled to begin in 2019. Learn more on the project web site.
Project team members will explain the critical safety and improvement work that is scheduled to occur and share information about proposed construction schedules and traffic plans. The public can ask questions, provide comments and speak directly with project team members.
