Sedona AZ (January 1, 2014) – The Red Rock Ranger District and the Arizona Natural History Association invite the community to the First Friday talk: Flora and Fauna of the Verde Valley.
This monthly talk will take place on Friday (Jan. 3) at 11 a.m. at the Red Rock Visitor Center one mile south of the Village of Oak Creek on Highway 179.
Join Janie Agyagos, Forest Service wildlife biologist, as she presents an overview of the wide variety of habitats in the Verde Valley and highlights many of the plant and animal species those habitat types support.
She will discuss common, rare, and nonnative species as well as species that have made gradual range extensions into our area.
