New Gallery Hours In Hillside Center’s Upper Courtyard
Sedona AZ (August 28, 2012) – Exciting changes are happening at the Pop-UP Sedona Gallery at Hillside Sedona. This month the gallery is extending its hours and has expanded its collection of local artists. Pop-UP is now open seven days a week from 10AM to 6PM with the extended hours on Wednesdays when the public is welcomed until 7PM. Pop-UP Gallery is located on the upper courtyard of Hillside Sedona Center, at 671 State Route 179 in Sedona.
Pop-UP Sedona Gallery represents many styles and media, featuring 15 of the finest artists in diverse mediums in the Verde Valley. When you visit the gallery you will be immersed in the beauty of fused glass designs by Lorraine Fexas, photography by five world class photographers, wood carvings by Csaba Martonyi, Pat Prolo’s hand painted and woven gourds, bronze sculpture by Adryanna Ciera, fine jewelry and handcrafted handbags by Gabriela Kaufman, wrought iron sculpture by Richard Barnwell, paintings by four diverse artists in acrylic, oil and watercolor, and Meg Freimarck’s whimsical fiber clay sculptures.
Come by for the First Friday event on September 7th from 5PM to 7PM; enjoy a glass of wine and visit with Pop-UP’s artists. September’s First Friday will kick off the month-long feature of two of the Gallery’s premier artists: photographer Csaba Martonyi and bronze sculptor Adryanna Ciera.
Csaba Martonyi’s photography expresses his fascination with texture and pattern. He has a skilled eye for finding and conveying the finest details in nature that are so often overlooked. He captures the ever-changing expressions of beauty in even the harshest environments and shares that with the viewer in a most intriguing way. Csaba is also an exquisite wood carver. His pieces are sublime and must be seen in order to understand the complexity of his carving.
Adryanna Ciera is one of Pop-UP’s recent artist acquisitions and brings a fresh view of sculpture to the gallery. Her work includes intricate bronze sculptures of horses, wildlife and people. Her love of nature is apparent in her art and exhibits her love of movement and grace.
Pop-UP is a community oriented, artist operated, art space; a portion of all sales help to support the Verde Valley Sanctuary or other local charities. For more information about Pop-UP Gallery, call (928) 282-8143 or visit the gallery online at http://www.pop-upsedonagallery.com.
