Sedona AZ (November 7, 2012) – The Humane Society of Sedona (HSS) has opened its second thrift store in West Sedona at 2081 W Hwy 89A #1 next to Harkins Theater. Based on the success of the thrift shop in the VOC and recognizing the need for a location in West Sedona, HSS decided to expand. The shop is open Monday through Saturday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Currently the Paw Prints Thrift Shop in the VOC is the largest fundraiser for HSS as 100% of the sales go directly back to the shelter to help provide quality care for shelter pets until they are adopted. With the second location, Paw’s West Thrift Shop, the goal is to continue to grow the revenue from the stores to fund operating costs as well as multiple community services such as the low cost spay and neuter clinic, low cost vaccination clinic and eventually a low cost dental clinic.
On November 15th, there will be a Grand Opening celebration and everyone is invited. The store will be open all day and the celebration will be 6:00 to 8:00 pm. There will be coffee and desserts from Java Love as well as other refreshments. Art Mart will be staying open during the celebration and donating 10% of all sales during that time to the Humane Society of Sedona.
There will also be a drawing for three $50 gift certificates for the Paw’s West Thrift Shop. Every donation made to the shop prior to November 15th equates to one ticket for the drawing. When making a donation, drop off items at the back of the shop during normal business hours and be sure to take a ticket for the drawing along with a donation receipt.
Donation items needed include small kitchen appliances, shoes, clothing (men, women, and children), accessories, electronics, DVDs, CDs, books, tchotchkes, home décor and furniture. The thrift store will even pick up larger items, making it even more convenient to donate. To schedule a pick up please call 928-282-1287.
