Jerome AZ (December 4, 2014) – Donna Chesler of Gallery 527 is the new Jerome Chamber of Commerce President, following a successful tenure by Liz Gale of The Mile High Grille and Inn. The two have worked closely in the past year and Liz will become the Vice President. Says Gale, “Donna has worked tirelessly for the past 10 years to raise the profile of the business community in Jerome and we look forward to a great coming year.”
Chesler is optimistic about 2015 in Jerome with some new businesses opening and the support of many shop owners who have been around for years. She says, “The numerous wine tasting rooms have added another dimension to the mile high town and draw a welcome new crowd. While history and art are big draws, restaurants, lodging, gift shops and tours are all equally important to the makeup of the one of a kind and authentic essence of Jerome”
The main event for the Jerome Chamber is the home tour, celebrating its 50th year in May. Donna says, “This premiere Arizona event draws visitors from all over Arizona year after year. It is the major fundraiser for our chamber and a tour that requires the help and expertise of people from not only Jerome but also the entire Verde Valley. We will gear up to have a memorable experience for everyone. I look forward to a year of success for our business community. I welcome and hope for the participation of all of our members.”
Donna and her husband Ken arrived in Clarkdale in August 2003 and opened Gallery 527 in Jerome soon after. Donna has been instrumental in starting Jerome Art Walk and in the marketing and promotion of all the Chamber events for the past 9 years. She is also a real estate agent with Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty in Sedona. Other officers for 2015 in Jerome are Liz Gale, Vice President, Karen Bowers of Western Heritage Gallery, Secretary and Andy Hartnett of Adorn Collection, Treasurer.
