Sedona AZ (August 26, 2013) – The Red Rock District of the Coconino National Forest is hosting a public meeting August 29 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Hilton Sedona Resort to discuss the future of forest trails in and around Sedona and the Village of Oak Creek.
This is the second to last in a series of public trail plan meetings hosted by the district. This meeting will focus on areas that stakeholders believe are priorities for future trail related work, including Turkey Creek and Middle Dry Creek. Acting District Ranger Jen Hensiek will also give an overview of what has been discussed in previous meetings and will present the forest service’s initial recommendations for a future trail strategy.
Everyone is welcome to join the meeting and comment about the future of National Forest trails in Red Rock country. The last scheduled meeting in this series will be held on September 26 at the same time and place.
