Yes, I was a bit premature saying Trump was invincible in my “In the Nick of Time” article.
I have a pitiful excuse because at the time I posted the opinion Biden was still running.
Now, with Biden out of the race tables have turned and Trump has a real fight on his hands.
Clearly, he is going to have to reach deep to take down Kamala, especially made even more perilous if Hillary becomes part of the ticket.
Yup, you heard me right, the dreaded Hillary of the long tooth and Wolverine-sharp claws, purring menacingly in the shadows, ready to pounce.
I know. It’s a long shot. But it’s crazy times and who crazier than Hillary would fit the bill?
I could feel it in my bones. She very well could be Kamala’s running mate. Anything could happen at the convention.
Let’s just make believe for now it could happen just for the fun of it.
First, Trump needs to revert full throttle to his old style, making fun of and denigrating his opponents.
The women will tear into him for his patented lies and numerous indiscretions, as well as his convictions. But true Trumpers will have none of it and continue to believe he is innocent till blue in the face.
But there are still quite a few voters out there that naively believe in the Law and judicial system and might not want to vote for a convicted felon who still faces a plethora of legal challenges.
Deny! Deny! Deny! And swear on a stack of signed bibles he is innocent — a victim of a corrupt Washington swamp being persecuted for daring to tell the truth.
He has to be careful not to paint himself as a big fat bully picking on people smaller than him, especially tiny, helpless innocent women like Kamala and Hilary.
He needs Kelly Ann, Judge Judy and Laura to mud wrestle with his opponents, sling the muck and deliver the hard blows against them.
He needs to come up with a few new derogatory slogans, like the one he made up – “Crooked Hillary.”
Clueless Kamala, Kamala the Babble-ah or Kama-blah might work.
Trump has to keep those who have not been converted yet locked up in their homes, hiding from the millions of rapists, murderers, thieves, drug dealers, trans genders, killers and terrorists invading our country by the hundreds of thousands each and every day — and that only he can stop then with a phone call, as well as end the war in Ukraine and Palestine with his pinky.
And let’s not forget the old fear ridden staples: China, Russia, Iran and North Korea.
The more scared the uncommitted are the more likely they are to vote for a strong man.
When making speeches he needs to start soft and smooth, transforming himself into a frothing, red faced, veins bulging angry American patriot by the end.
People love emotion. Adrenalin is a kick ass drug. Look and listen to all the great rabble-rousing dictators throughout history and you will get the picture.
Still, he should carefully hide from the public his ambition to become a dictator until after he is in.
Oh. And Trump should dump the “like you have never seen before” line. It’s getting stale.
He must also push the belief the country is in total decline and about to fall off a cliff. And of course, only he can save us.
He should be talking to world leaders from other countries as if his election is already a done deal.
This will add more credibility to his presidential stature. He knows them all already and out of fear many will accommodate him.
Some might surmise that Iranians wanted to kill him before he becomes president again because of the fear they have of him.
Possible but not probable. However, he must stay on high alert, given the last attempt.
And let us not forget reminding America how much better the country was under his leadership. No wars. Low food and gas prices. Energy independence. No border crises, etc.
The minefield he must tip toe through is the abortion battle. Don’t brag that he killed the rights of women to have abortions by stacking the Supreme Court. Rather, snake oil-sell it as his bringing it back to the states where the issue belongs.
That should pacify the anti-abortion hardliners in his party.
And Vance is an albatross. Trump should have gone with Vivek.
So, fasten your seat belts you voters out there. Watch FOX news 24/7. Memorize the talking points. Take no shit from the CNN parrots. Get ready for the political ride of your life.

Trump stated to his constituents in 2015 to “not believe what they see and hear “ and created “alternative facts”. He cried that the election he won was “rigged” and “fixed” prior to anyone voting. He lost a free and fair election after that and has yet to tell the truth about the election and his direct involvement in the Jan 6th insurrection meant to rip out electoral processes to shreds. He is vowing that if he loses again that the ensuing violence will be horrific. He also is touting a never ending Term on the Golden Throne and that voting will no longer be required in 4 years from now.
