City of Sedona ArizonaSedona AZ (October 19, 2011) – On October 11, 2011, the Sedona City Council approved the Interim Development Impact Fee Schedule with an effective date of January 1, 2012.  The change in fees is required based on a series of significant changes made by the State Legislature.  These changes impact the parameters surrounding requirements for collection and use of Development Impact Fees.

The result is reduced development impact fees for development that occurs on or after January 1, 2012.  The City can still use existing impact fees (already collected) and fees collected through December 31, 2011 for anticipated uses from prior State law.  The interim fee schedule will remain in place until the City adopts a new Impact Fee study and associated fees.

The current fees being collected for both the Storm Drainage and Police categories will go largely unchanged.  However, exclusions required by the new law will lower the Parks and Recreation Fee by approximately 11%, will eliminate the General Government category, and will reduce the Transportation Fee category by about 1% depending on the type of development.

For a complete schedule of development impact fees, check the city’s website at www.SedonaAZ.gov.  The schedule is located under the Community Development Department section on the Fees page.  Should you have questions, please contact the Community Development Department at 928-282-1154.

    Beatles Tribute at Blazin’ M

I can honestly say, having grown up in the Bronx in the 60s, that if it had not been for the Beatles I most likely would have grown up to be a criminal or been killed in a violent gang war.
