Sedona AZ (April 10, 2012) – The City of Sedona Arts and Culture Commission is seeking four members for the Art in Public Places Committee. This influential and highly visible Committee recommends policy on public art issues to the Arts & Culture Commission. Art in public places includes but is not limited to street art and performances, monuments, sculptures, murals, and the banners program. The Committee’s goal is to bring public art to the citizens and visitors of the community through exhibits, donations, and the Art in the Roundabout program.
Members serve without pay and must be residents of the greater Sedona area. The term of service for the four openings is three years. Appointments will be made by the Arts & Culture Commission and the new Committee members will begin his or her term upon appointment.
The deadline to return applications is Friday, May 25, 2012, at 5:00 p.m. to the City Clerk’s office.
