Sedona News – The city of Sedona invites residents to take The National Community Survey (NCS). This survey gauges resident sentiment on the following important topics:

    • Economy
    • Mobility
    • Community design
    • Natural environment
    • Parks and recreation
    • Health and wellness
    • Education
    • Arts and culture
    • Inclusivity and engagement

Input will be used in future projects and budget planning. Take the survey at before October 21 at: polco.us/sesdonaaz24op.

If you already took the survey as part of the statistically valid, random sample mail effort, your results have already been counted and you do not need to take the survey again.

The NCS is a scientific survey with mostly preset questions used by 46 states and more than 350 jurisdictions. This survey is administered every two-to-three years and allows the city to gather feedback and compare resident sentiment with other like-minded cities and towns.

For more information including prior years’ survey results, visit www.SedonaAZ.gov/CommunitySurvey.

Just took the poll. I found the questions to be mostly relevant but they tended to be redundant.

One of my guilty little pleasures is imagining what I would do if I was in someone else’s shoes, especially politicians. In this essay I would love to jump into the shoes of Curtis Sliwa, a former New York City vigilante who founded the Guardian Angels and is now running as a Republican for mayor of his city.
