Sedona AZ (November 25, 2013) – Tis the Season to be Jolly, so join with friends and family on December 7 for the annual Breakfast with Santa, hosted by Sedona Parks and Recreation and the local YMCA. Held at the Sedona Teen Center from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., this festive event includes a free pancake breakfast, various seasonal crafts for kids and the chance to have your picture taken with Santa Clause. Arrive early to participate in a fun 1 mile walk/run around the park with jingle bells on your shoes! This Jingle Bell Run will begin at 7:45 a.m. starting and ending at the Teen Center and lead by the owners of the Sedona Running Company. The entire course is paved so strollers are welcome to join in.
Doors open at 8 a.m. for families interested in enjoying breakfast in this festive atmosphere. Breakfast will be served until 9:30 a.m. and the event will end at 10:00 a.m. After breakfast, children can enjoy making winter crafts, as well as sitting on Santa’s lap. Parents don’t forget to bring your camera if you would like a picture of your child with Santa Clause.
Once this event is over, head across the street to the softball field where a portable ice skating rink has been set up for the first week in December! On the 7th, the ice rink is sponsored by Diamond Resorts International. Skating is free and skates are included. Participants are given 30 minute intervals to skate based on a first come, first serve basis. The rink will be open until 3 p.m. on this Saturday.
