The incident location was near Loy Butte Trail off Forest Road 525, Sedona. Sedona Fire Department was already on scene.

Prior to arrival, deputies were told that 33-year-old Nadiya Zaverbna had died at the incident location.

Once on scene deputies learned the victim had been out riding with her fiancé, each on their own rented quad. The victim’s fiancé was travelling in front of her when he noticed via his rear view mirror that she had crashed. The victim was not wearing a helmet. A Jeep Tour group in the area stopped to render aid until the arrival of paramedics.
