A passionate film of the enormous change exhibited by the Colorado River streamed aerial views of what would have been perennial flow 90 miles to gray matter disposal. The film had many, including myself, in tears. The question and answer discussion placed, next to education, innovation.

Former Mayor and representative of the regional water interest group, Verde River Basin Partnership, Tony Gioia, commented, “Education is the key.” The organization received a large donation from the Walton Family Foundation last year. Gioia announced, “VRBP is launching an education publication this year.”

Film goers such as Sue, who requested her last name, remain anonymous, admits, the film festival has, “You learning so much about things you would otherwise not know.”

For example, economics and sustainability are inextricably connected to the fabric of life.

So Smart, So Right was wildly informative of the direction of the Ecology of Commerce which was introduced. Also, a book by Paul Hawken reasons, our world is amiss in an environmental crisis.

The environmental themes at the festival this year are going strong. With many more water, electrical and educational screen plays still to come. Three days down and 7 more… It’s ShowTime Sedona!

Film Director of They All Laughed, Peter Bogdanovich made three and appearances at the Sedona International Film Festival this year. They All Laughed, a 1980 film shot in Manhattan, New York is a complete knock out. The actors starred, among so many great people, Audrey Hepburn being one, traced the ‘city limits,’ streets, and shops, forming an elengant gesture toward love. Peter’s rendition of love, the way he saw it then, juxtaposed investigation, counterpoint musical moods and women ruling all. “Just the way it should be he smiles.” The night was a great start to the 2012 Sedona International Film Festival. The night ended in style and honor.
