You are invited to help the dedicated caretakers of Oak Creek and our public lands for a one-day canyon-wide litter clean up event during the peak of the leaf peeping season. Volunteers will be safely removing litter from roadside parking, recreation areas, and streambanks along 13 miles of Oak Creek to reestablish a clean environment for wildlife and people.
Trash left along this road makes its way directly into the creek, so your participation is crucial!
TO REGISTER, go to https://bit.ly/oakcreekcollaborativecleanup.
Join us at Slide Rock State Park at 8 AM to check in and receive a safety talk and your cleanup materials. Volunteer groups will each be assigned to a particular stretch of Oak Creek/the 89A. We’ll come back together at noon for a group photo and raffle prizes!
Sponsored by the Oak Creek Watershed Council and the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality, over 15 organizations are coming together for this event. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a big difference while working alongside a great community. We can’t wait to see you there!
