Sedona AZ (May 15, 2012) – “2012 Spotlight on Seniors” will be coming to Sedona on May 19, 2012, from 8am to 3pm at the Sedona United Methodist Church, 110 Indian Cliffs Road in Sedona. Sponsored by the Sedona Sunrise Center for Adults, this third annual conference, will focus on the issues of the elderly and their family caregivers. Since Alzheimer’s Disease is becoming more prevalent and is affecting more and more people, the speakers will focus on neuro-degenerative diseases and the latest treatments, the brain and how it changes, and the resulting financial and social challenges of aging. The first time showing of a film by Stephen DeVol will highlight the joys and challenges aging.
Registration is $15 a person, $20 at the door and includes lunch. Proceeds will help the Sedona Sunrise Center for Adults, the only licensed, non-profit adult day care program in Sedona and the Verde Valley.
