SEDONA, AZ (November 10, 2009) - Imagine Art is hosting a reception for its November featured artist, Dee Winkelstern on Friday, November 13 from 6-9 pm. At this reception wine and finger foods will be served and a few door prizes will be awarded including a necklace from the artist, a gift certificate from Imagine Art and a tour for two from Tatia Fick, owner of Sedona Art Tours who is co-hosting this event.

Dee’s exhibit will include a gallery of jewelry including necklaces, bracelets and earrings.  Her work is elegant, versatile, and affordable and will be featured in an upcoming Holiday Bazaar hosted at Imagine Art in December.

Dee, originally from Long Island, New York, is a multi-faceted artist whose work ranges from paintings to wire & crystal sculpture on canvas to beaded jewelry.  She owned an operated a gallery in Houston, Texas for 23 years and relocated to beautiful Sedona in 2000 after falling in love with the red rocks.  She and her husband Phil are also the owners of Sedona Dream Maker Bed & Breakfast in the Village of Oak Creek.  It’s a quaint, log cabin styled B&B that features the comforts of home with Sedona flair.   To learn more about this local business visit www.sedonadreammaker.com.  There you can also see Dee’s gallery on-line.

Linda Damita, the new owner of Imagine Art who took over May 1st, has been diligently working to broaden the image of the ceramic studio since she took over.  “A lot of people think Imagine Art is just for kids but I’ve got many different events like these receptions that are opportunities for people to get acquainted with what Imagine Art has to offer.  And, of course, this is a great chance to support a local artist and continue to build community which is vital during this trying economic time.  We have so many resources locally that we forget are available.  We just need to give ourselves the experience.  I hope people will find that Imagine Art is a hub for just that.”

Imagine Art provides an inspirational venue and unique creative experience for everyone who imagines art in everything they do.  Imagine Art cultivates community by supporting artists of all ages and genres and by nurturing projects that benefit children and seniors.   To learn more visit www.imagineartsedona.com.
